My dad bought my wedding gold from a WEBSITE and I was furious. Then I saw it.

PSA for NRIs: You can order gold online and get it delivered to your parents in India

I compared gold prices across 6 sellers for 10gm MMTC-PAMP. Here are the results.
Spent my Sunday doing what any rational person does — building a spreadsheet comparing gold prices. 10gm MMTC-PAMP 24K bar, same product, 6 different sellers.
MMTC-PAMP Direct: ₹1,60,580 | Amazon: ₹1,60,330 | Flipkart: ₹1,57,080 | CoinBazaar: ₹1,61,743 | Instant Bullion: ₹1,61,920 | Local jeweller (Zaveri Bazaar): ₹1,68,400
Yes, Flipkart was cheapest. But Flipkart doesn’t offer BVC insured delivery — they use Ekart. One Reddit user literally posted about his gold being swapped during delivery. Instant Bullion uses BVC with Aadhaar verification. For ₹4,840 more than Flipkart, I get peace of mind. That’s 3% for insurance on a ₹1.6L purchase. I’ll take it.
The local jeweller? ₹6,480 MORE for the same bar. That’s the “trust premium” of buying from a shop. No thanks.

Mum asked me to buy gold for Akshaya Tritiya. I’m a software engineer. I know nothing about gold. Here’s what happened.
